Sometimes, we carry so much. Too much.

And then it becomes all we can see.

We struggle with things in our own lives… addiction, anxiety, depression…

sometimes it is our finances, our health, the health of our loved ones,

our ageing parents, the struggles of our children.

Disappointments… failure… regrets… rejection…

Failed relationships. Broken marriages.

Sometimes we carry the perceptions and expectations of others.

We carry the worries of the people we love. We try and try and try again - relying on ourselves and our own abilities to get through it.

It gets too heavy.

God is reminding us that we were never meant to carry the burden of our problems all alone.

We were never meant to handle everything on our own.

His heart has always been, and always will be FOR YOU.

In Matthew 11:28 Jesus invites us to “Come to Me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”.

He wants us to lay down the heavy load we are trying to carry on our own, to find rest in Him and to “cast our burdens on Him; and He will sustain us”. (Psalm 55:22)

Only when we lay down those burdens, and give it to God, we are able to clearly see His goodness & mercy all around us.
